PLATFORM TENNIS NEWS . COM

Dear Platform Tennis Enthusiast,

As I prepare for year three as editor of PlatformTennisNews.com I would be terribly remiss if I didn’t thank the readership for all their support last season. By in large the response was very favorable and I learned not to take personally players who “opted out”. I am hoping you will find this season to be as thought inspiring as the first.

David KjeldsenAs a reminder, my periodic emails are intended to provide commentary about the wonderful sport of platform tennis. On occasion you may be hearing news for the first time, but that is not the main focus of this publication. I hope to promote dialogue among the playing community. I hope to provide thought provoking ideas. I will not be providing tournament results, articles about instruction, or equipment reviews; there are other venues better suited to inform you about such matters.

As I have said previously, sometimes you will agree with me; sometimes you may not; sometimes you may have no opinion at all. I am neither out to please all nor intentionally offend anyone. I am here to provide you with my take on ideas and matters that intrigue and concern me regarding our great sport. I wish to discuss ideas and concepts not people or personalities. My goal is the betterment and growth of the wonderful sport of platform tennis. I am not promoting a specific group’s agenda or cause. I know my limitations and my skill set, and I know from time to time I am going to stir up a hornet’s nest of controversy either with individuals or with groups. As a great philosopher once said Multi Errores, Mullum Dubium: “I am often wrong, but never in doubt.”

I welcome your letters to the editor in which you may agree or disagree with my thoughts and commentary; most get published in our “Volleying” section..

I hope you will enjoy season two of PlatformTennisNews.com

Let’s get the 2009-2010 platform tennis season started.
