THE TRUSTEES OF THE
PLATFORM TENNIS MUSEUM AND HALL OF FAME FOUNDATION
MAKE A PRESENTATION TO THE MEMBERS OF THE
FOX MEADOW TENNIS CLUB

The Trustees of the Platform Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame Foundation made presentations to the membership of the Fox Meadow Tennis Club on two dates, Sunday, November 21 and Monday, November 29. The purpose of the gatherings was to inform the Club’s members of the details of the proposal to locate a building for the museum and hall of fame as an extension of their clubhouse. The Foundation’s Chairman, Bob Brown, made the basic presentation. Foundation President, Rich Lombard, the Foundation’s architect, Howard Patterson and Foundation Trustee, Brook Kindred augmented it.

Jo Rogers, President of the Fox Meadow Tennis Club who also serves as Treasurer of the Foundation, spoke to the membership about the procedure that would be followed by the Club’s Board of Directors regarding the proposal.

Brook Kindred, a member of the Club and a Trustee of the Foundation, showed illustrations of some items that would be exhibited in the museum and explained why the Museum and Hall of Fame for platform tennis should be in Scarsdale.

Jo Rogers chaired the meeting as President of the Club. Following the presentation he explained the procedure that the Club’s Board of Directors would follow to obtain membership approval. He is also the Treasurer of the Foundation.

Foundation President, Rich Lombard, explained the financing of the project to the Fox Meadow Tennis Club membership.

Bob Brown, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, made the presentation to the assembled members.

Howard Patterson, a principal in the firm of Patterson Bignosinski, Architects, reviewed the sketches of the proposed building for the Fox Meadow Tennis Club’s members.

Members of the Fox Meadow Tennis Club examine the architect’s drawings of the proposed extention to the clubhouse which would house the Museum and Hall of Fame.

The original painting titled “Fox Meadow” by Robert Sticker hangs over the fireplace in the clubhouse.
