MY SERVE
AD IN (+) DEUCE (=) AD OUT (-)

AD OUT - Lateness of players to enter tournaments. Entry fees are forced to be higher to cover costs because the number of participants is unknown until the last minute.

AD IN - Trustees of the Platform Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame Foundation. They are working feverishly to reach their goal of providing a building to house the sport’s memorabilia and honor its inducted men and women.

AD IN - Election of Brook Kindred to the Platform Tennis Hall of Fame. He was a real asset to the sport whose lifetime of contributions were overlooked because of his direct involvement in the Hall of Fame Nominating Committee.

AD OUT - “Member Look Up” on the APTA web site. It seems to be “open” to everyone.

AD OUT - “Pro sets” in sanctioned tournaments. There is no opportunity to overcome a poor stretch of games by having a good stretch of games in a second “inning”.

AD IN - The concept of 125+ age tournaments. There are enough championship tournaments now so what’s one more. This age arrangement broadens the field of eligible partners for 50+ and 60+ players.

AD IN - Stan Kleckner and Tim Heath as a team in the 125+ at Round Hill. It required a little different style of play than is usual but what a challenge they provided.
