AD IN - Memorial contributions by friends and family of Estabrook Kindred to the Platform Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame Foundation of $6,800.00. Additional gifts can be sent to the Foundation at P.O. Box 413, Scarsdale, New York 10583.

AD OUT - The “official” platform tennis season ends. It will be missed and while there certainly is some play in the spring and summer, other activities, like golf, tennis and boating come front and center.

DEUCE- Location of the APTA Annual Meeting and first meeting of the new Board of Directors. Last year in Chicago and this year in Paoli (Philadelphia suburb) the location has its positives and minuses. At one time always held in New Jersey close to the headquarters office, the meeting has moved around in recent years. That exposure to new areas may be good but I question whether it is cost effective.

AD OUT - Lack of a candidate on the ballot for the APTA Board of Directors to replace Fritz Odenbach. Is the number of Directors being reduced or will the Board make an “appointment” thus avoiding membership approval.

AD OUT - Early deadline (March 6) and late delivery (not yet received by April 13) of Issue 5 of Platform Tennis. The production schedule is too lengthy. It needs to be condensed.
